Electrical Engineering Staff Position

NEO Virtus seeks a master’s candidate with a strong power engineering foundation to join the team focused on grid integration of DER.

The position is part-time (full-time during the summer months) and requires between 16 and 32 hours per week, adapted to the applicant’s schedule.  Primary responsibilities include production of AutoCAD drawings, solar resource assessment, mechanical component design, solar photovoltaic system design, and data collection and processing.  Additionally, some or all of the following experience is desirable: PVSyst, Etap, MS Word, Excel & Access, basic electronic circuits, construction/building trades experience, understanding of photovoltaic technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on power engineering
  • US citizenship, resident, or visa which allows full time employment all year.
  • EIT required
